Tarot 01: The Basics

Tarot 01: The Basics

When you think about Tarot, what probably will come to your mind is linked with a concept of divination tool, prediction of the future, clairvoyance, visions of the afterlife and all that kind of "witchy stuff".

But let me tell you something, (which is the vision of my brand): Tarot is a LOT more than that. Therefore, I felt the need to expand its knowledge by creating Maison Roselene in order to teach you about this fantastic world of Tarot.

  • My Own Experience:

I got to know the Tarot as a tool thanks to my great-grandmother who was called Rosa ("Rose" in English). When I was a teenager, I used to go to her house to share a meeting of tea time, and we used the Tarot as an excuse to have great talks. For me it was kind of an anecdote, a moment of connection with her in which I really used to have fun. For her it was a tool to understand how I was and how I felt, because she discovered everything that was happening to me with this oracle tool!

So the tarot comes in some way from inheritance, not being something new in my life, but I was still somewhat skeptical and the true connection with the Tarot deck, my interest in the subtle planes and spirituality had not yet arrived by those times.

I always say that the Tarot found me, and not the other way around.
One day, when I found myself in a complicated situation, I had gone to a store to buy incense and crystals to uplift my energy. And there it was, on a table, a Tarot deck but whose stories on each card had drawings of Angels that represented them. I have always been devoted to Angels. This deck definitely got my attention and I did not hesitate for a second to take it with me (although at that moment I did not know what it was about or how to use it).

  • Introducing What Tarot Really Is:

As I have already said, the Tarot is much more than a tool that predicts the future. In Tarot you can find the keys, the answers and the best paths with advice about how to go through the circumstances of your life.

The Tarot describes "The Hero's Journey" which basically is the path of life with all its flavors, all its colors that we come to experience on this Earth plane. Each stage of life is described in each Tarot card. Each of them explains the opportunities, as well as the challenges, their archetypes both in light and in  shadows, and how to deal whith it in a way you can express your best version as a human being, practicing qualities such as perseverance, patience, respect and above all, we are here to learn the quealities of LOVE.

So when we analyze the messages in a Tarot spread we are able to interpret in which circumstance of life we find ourselves, why are we going through this challenge, and the best practices about how to overcome what the life has for us. Basically, the Tarot teach us how to go through and transmute karmatic patterns to the brightest side, unlocking the unconscious and making conscious what we must work on to improve ourselves.
